Who Is Habitat for Humanity?

Habitat for Humanity Canada is a national, non-profit organization working towards a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.

Every Canadian family deserves a safe, decent and affordable place to call home. Habitat for Humanity Canada’s goal is to make that dream a reality.

Habitat for Humanity is not just helping families in need purchase an affordable house, because they’re also getting a home. Homeownership is about more than just building equity, as it can instill a family with a renewed sense of confidence and pride. Children have become happier and more outgoing, leading to improved grades and better health. Parents have used their newly discovered sense of accomplishment to return to school, learn a new trade, or upgrade their job skills. The impact is immediate; the effects everlasting.
