YWiB USask aims to engage and inspire women from different educational and professional backgrounds in the early stages of their career to achieve success in their own terms. Through networking and skill building opportunities, members will connect, grow and learn to become active and conscientious members of our community.

Taylor Anhorn - YWiB Co-President.jpg

Hey Edwards students! My name is Taylor, and I am the proud Co-President of YWiB for the 2021-2022 school year. I am in my fourth year at Edwards and am majoring in marketing, hoping to be finished by December 2022. I have a huge passion for dogs (especially pugs) and am pumped about having one, hopefully in the near future. I’ve been on YWiB for over a year and a half as the Newsletter Editor and am super excited to step into this new role. As some of you may know, YWiB is an amazing group of ladies who strive to create an accepting and inclusive environment for women of all ethnicities, academic backgrounds, and abilities. I look forward to meeting everyone and sharing my love for dogs amongst the entirety of ESB.

Harleen YWiB_D&I.JPG

Hi! I’m Harleen (she/they) – an HR student at Edwards and also the new Director of D&I Initiatives for EBSS (go check out our new portfolio!). As I enter not only my 3rd year on YWiB Exec but my 4th of university, being in Saskatoon as a South Asian woman raised in India, and being a dedicated USSU Women’s Centre Volunteer, I realize that connecting with and learning from many feminist peers and leaders, women and friends beyond the binary has added immense value to my experiences and myself. Along with my wonderful co-queen Taylor, I hope to champion YWiB’s purpose of creating intersectional inclusion and growth in the coming year. Our team of amazing women will bring you events and connections that empower you to be more of yourself in business spaces and create safer professional environments for people of different backgrounds and identities. If you’re wondering how you can support YWiB’s work or get involved, keep up with our social media, bring your authentic self to our events as well as the women you know and love :)
