Overall, the goal for our EDID workshops is to educate student leaders on intentionally selected EDID topics to apply in their university experience and beyond. Some potential and past workshop topics include but aren’t limited to, Examining Positionality, Understanding Anti-Black Racism in Canada, Q/A with Queer and Trans Students, Disability and Ableism 101, Teachings from a Knowledge Keeper, and Sustainability through a Sharing Economy. If your company is interested in seeing certain topics or initiatives, please reach out to our VP EDID, Harleen Arora, at vpedid@edwardsbss.com.

Professional Development Workshops

$500 / Workshop

Our Professional Development (PD) portfolio strives to provide students with opportunities to help prepare them for their careers after graduation. As a part of our PD portfolio, we are pleased to introduce our latest initiative - the Professional Development Workshops. Most workshops will be conducted in collaboration with one of our umbrella clubs, depending on the major that the workshop is designed for. Our major-specific umbrella clubs have previously organized information sessions such as financial calculator and excel tutorials (Finance Students Society) and tutoring for lower year accounting courses (Accounting Club of Edwards). With our Professional Development Workshops, we intend to offer similar knowledge and skill-based sessions to Edwards students, leveraging the resources available with our umbrella clubs. By sponsoring a PD Workshop, your company can support our cause and help provide valuable learning opportunities for students, thus enabling them to acquire specific market knowledge and skills. Approximately 30+ students are expected to attend each workshop. ($500/workshop)
